Bell Launches New Helmets for teen girls, women and the rest of you extreme heads. “Bell’s Fun Packs feature helmets packaged with other toys, all for under $20. The glam girl gets nail polish, body glitter, stickers and a mini purse, while the explorer gets a flashlight and binoculars to help find a slithering snake. Younger riders get a horn and knee pads themed around playful pups.” Someone do Bell’s marketing department a favor and tell them they missed the fucking boat.

Globe/Kubic Shares Down 25%
Globe International’s chief executive will hand over the reigns to a former managing director of Nike Australia. “Mr Sutton’s appointment was welcomed by followers of the stock.” This can only be bad news for those that actually skate.

Dying At Spreckels Theater
Looks like all the drunken fools made it into San Diego to check out Zero’s “Dying To Live” premiere. The show didn’t happen. We are glad to hear that not one person was hospitalized. Do you think that is because we are used to being beat the fuck up? If this was a Disney premiere, fifty kids would have been hospitalized and the papers would have called it a tragedy. DC Goes Enron
DC Shoes (scroll to middle of page) is apparently a little bit fucked with the IRS. The feds cite a long list of alleged sins, including omitted proceeds from asset sales, undocumented entertainment expenses and dividends deducted as expenses. Transworld Skateboarding reported a while ago that: “DC Shoe Co. made donations to four nonprofit organizations that focus on any combination of human rights, poverty alleviation, and responsible business practices for manufacturing overseas. One of the major organizations was The Milarepa Fund, a nonprofit organization founded by Adam Yauch of the Beastie Boys and Erin Potts.” – Let’s hope everything comes out ok. DC Shoes Website

Go Break Yourself
Skateboard injuries are on the rise. We are guessing that about this time next year there will probably be an article or two about skateboard injuries declining as a result of strictly enforced helmet laws in States like California. Don’t be fooled friends. You’ll remember that there are more people riding skateboards and conclude that injuries are on the rise because of that fact.

Put a Helmet On Your Kid and Send Him Off!
Exkate can get your 10 year old up to 22 mph in 4 seconds. Remote control throttle might be fun if you could tap into other frequencies and send your buddy out into traffic on the 405. The $1200 pricetag makes it a good stocking stuffer.
