Beastmaster Board Inc. - Boomerang Board

asante kahari sent us some mail last week about proposed manufacture and sale of boomerang boards. “For the past year, in conjunction with some of the greatest engineering minds from universities all over the U.S. BB inc. has developed a skateboard deck that will prove to revolutionize not only the sport of skateboarding but the consumer industry as well.” References to 420 led us to believe that if you do smoke, searching the web for this crap would be more fun.

Destroy Everything

Dudes in Ireland stay true to Thrasher. The skatepark built for them apparently sucks so everyone seems to congregate at a plaza recently built to celebrate the millennium. “The reluctance to use the arena was evidenced again this week by Cllr. Sean Dower, who said that while on his way to the Council meeting he saw skateboarders at the Bishop’s Palace adjacent to the Theatre Royal. When asked to go to the skateboard park they refused.” “…The damage was caused by a determined effort and through a planned operation” Skate and Destroy!

Poppin’ Wheelies!

Bob Onion sent us an ebay item that was too funny to pass up. You’ll have to hurry up and bid on these modified tail-block-truck-wheelie-bar-shit things before they all sell out.

Illuminated Boards and Bath Fixtures

Rave the fuck on! RTP Company’s glow-in-the-dark (GITD) technology creates an extreme look never seen before on this style of transportation device” Apparantly it will create a “strobe light effect” on your “transportation device” when you do “flips and stunts”. Hell, maybe Mr. Bailey’s all-distracting plurality of LEDs was even a better idea. They should’ve stuck with the health-minded bath fixtures instead. Thanks to Ben Banks for the patent info.

Monster Truck Shock Absorbing Device

Travis Knapp-Prasek sent us a link to the Super Jump. Just in case you wanted to go monster skateboarding over your neighbor’s cat or some shit. The nifty shock absorbers may enable all you haters to “evolve” skateboarding and start trying 50-60 stair hammers? Don’t new products that might improve skateboarding just make you a big flaming ball of sunshine?

Two of extreme sports’ legends — veteran skateboarder Tony Hawk and bicycle freestyler Rick Thorne — join Jesse James’ team as they turn an RV into a mobile skate park in a world premiere episode that airs Monday, April 14 at 8 p.m. (ET/PT). Discovery Channel scores big off skateboarding here. What sux more is that we haven’t seen the episode of monster garage that shows how Jesse managed to transform former adult-film star Janine from wonderful lesbian to his (x)wife. Score!

Deck Dogz

“Steve Pasvolsky is writing and directing the film Deck Dogz, which has a budget of about $4 million, from an idea originally suggested by the producer Jennifer Bennett. Faced with nothing suitable in cinemas for her teenage sons one Christmas, she thought there was a need for a good skateboard film.” Someone tell Hollywood that the movie Thrashin didn’t really work. Go Daggers!

Fire Fire!

Ben Banks found some sparkling trinkets and informed us of them. The whole skinnyboy.com web isn’t worth looking at either.
