Nike Groundbreaking Site?

Macromedia acknowledged the nikeskateboarding website as groundbreaking technology. Design Interact went on to name the site Communications Art Site of the Week.We are certain that other skateboard companies have been at the forefront of web technology for years now. It just plain fucking sux to see Nike jumping in and grabbing a fortune in a place it doesn’t belong. Chet owns Nike. Nike pay Chet.

EXPN Pro Shops

EXPN has a section of their website that was built for Skateboarding Sux. The EXPN Pro Shops are up and raking in cash. You would think that a pro or two sponsored by Apple Computers would be able to have their own online store running and not need EXPN to promote the goods these riders stand behind. Move Product boys!

A sucker posted this crap in our K-Mart comments section: MacMeda.com is apparently helping sell Skateboard Deterrent Solutions for Commercial Property Owners, Municipalities, Schools & Universities (i.e. Skatestoppers). The Sucker went on to show us that MacMeda is also involved in the selling of blank fucking skateboards??!! What the fuck?

Blue Light Specials?

Why might a skateshop owner have to run down to his local K-Mart and check some DVD prices? Because Blue Light Specials pull in a lot of business. There are countless reasons for parents to make a trip to K-Mart rather than their local skateshop right?

UPDATE: We received an email from Matt Roman that explains it all: “Hello, I am one of the guys that made PJ Ladd’s WHL, have you seen it?? Some good guys in there. Kmart, they don’t sell guns in our local Kmart amymore and “the Larry” is pissed. I love your site, it is wonderfull on many levils and it is heroic in the classic sence. We sold our video to Video Action Sports (like many in the past), this mega company has sold our video as well as many others to Kmart and there is nothing we can do but hang our head in shame. VAS, has the right to sell to anyone they want, and thats what they did. I appologize to all the skate shops out there and before I sign a contract with any big distributor again, I will think again. VAS can sell that video to anyone for another three years and thats scary. If you are making a video please be aware of what and where dist. may send the video. Kmart of all places…. I am so, so sorry. Please feel free to post of do what you want with this. Thanks, Matt Roman”

Thank you Matt for clarifying this to us.

To all of you SUV driving SoccerMoms that want to purchase PJ’s and/or other videos online for their spoiled kids, buy them at: Coliseum or at Unicron.

DC Shoes’ Project Detention Will Dwindle?

Three years in the making… The DC Video premieres Today at Grauman’s Chinese Theatre. Showtime is at 8:30. “For the first time, the entire DC team is featured together in DC’s first skate video. It’s going to be epic, and we haven’t even mentioned what Danny accomplished out in the desert on his very own Mega Ramp. You have to see it to believe it.” We are eager to see what Greg Hunt has put together. Let’s discuss the Project Detention thing. The chick is hot. Price is Right swimsuit models kick ass! Her and Leeann Tweeden make a good afternoon of jerking off for the kids… What we have is a joint venture between RedBeard Television, Extreme channel USA and Extreme International. Produced in Association with Fox Sports Net. Hurry up and hire the Dwindle employees and get the new batch when they come… Then we’ll see if we can recycle them again next year for some big SuperCompany. Fuck it though right? The Movies is the way to go and DC makes a quality Shoe for the people that break their feet in them. Just be sure to pay the riders. Didn’t DC do a shoe for OBEY? Don’t forget Stoked starts tomorrow too.

No Coke, Just Skateboarding

Craig Nicholls has designed, painted and personally signed a skateboard (provided by the very nice people at Slam City Skates) for you to own! Play with it, put it on your wall, do pretty much whatever you fancy with it, that’s up to you!” We’re going to put it on the kitchen table and stack a bunch of coke on it. Then when Reyes is thirsty from beating our asses, he can have a “drink”.
