Goal Accomplished – Our Indu$try Sux

This is Rob Meronek. A few years ago, I started this site (before I worked in the skateboarding industry). After a few months, I handed over full control of it to the people who run it today. Since late 2000, I have had no input or control over the content of the site. Of course, Skatepark of Tampa, my current employer, also has nothing to do with this site.
I can’t believe how high school even the business side of skateboarding is, even in 100% skater owned and operated companies. I will be at the Boost event myself taking photos, writing a story, having a good time, and posting all of it on skateparkoftampa.com along with trying not to get sucker punched by any of you while I’m there.
I’m amazed that some stupid website is enough to get people all worked up like this. I bet half of you posting here haven’t even skated in a week.
