Code of Conduct for Skateboarders

“The Skateboarders Against Antisocial Behaviour (SAAB) initiative was launched at Hethersett skatepark on Saturday.”

“Among the code’s 10 rules of conduct are: give pedestrians right of way; skate in quiet areas, away from shops and pedestrians; don’t skate in large groups and do not swear or drink alcohol when skating.”

We’re losing it…

Kelso Zoo-York Kutcher?

“Greg Lucci, vice president of Zoo York, said Kutcher, star of “That ’70s Show,” represents the spirit of the brand through the attitude and sense of humor he shows in his life and work.” If Kelso represents the spirit of the brand, We can basically call him a mascot? We can see Pang smacking him with a bat. Say it ain’t so Jeff.

Christian Hosoi - King of Kings?

We don’t want to pick on Holmes at all. We’re just questioning the peer groups that have gotten to him first. Thou shalt not worship false Idols. King of Kings Skateboard COMPANY? Never Forget.

Alva, Sheckler and Who?

We could either bite SkateDaily’s News or The Skatepark of Tampa’s news. It doesn’t matter… We all seem to have the same opinion about this.

NOgOH Rejected by Skateshop Owners

This product is the latest in practice technology This complete practice board has no fore and aft rolling, allowing you to concentrate on your favorite tricks like Ollies, Kick-Flips, Varial-Flip, 180’s, Shuv-its etc., without the skateboard flying out from under you.” After careful consideration of products like these, we just can’t help but say how bad these things are. If you learn something without the wheels rolling… You will have to learn it all over again at speed. Practice doesn’t make perfect… Perfect Practice makes perfect. This link was sent to us from a Skateshop owner. Thanks Eric. “That’s like trying to play monopoly without any fake money” Exactly.

Hot Enough To Fry Kids

“With the help of the community association and Phoenix parks officials, the city’s first-ever skateboard park built with steel will open in the next two months at Hermoso Park, 20th Street and Southern Avenue.” …”At the city’s three other skate parks, kids grind, jump and fly over ramps made of molded concrete. But the new generation of so-called modular steel parks are bolted to the ground and are a better bargain for taxpayers.” You are about to set the perfect example of what kind of skatepark NOT to build under the hot-as-fuck Arizona Sun. Flat-Bottom bum Barbeques are about all it will be used for in the daytime.

Don Brown is Out of Jail

And he’s sending us links. Apparently, the makers of extreme bender boarders sent something to Don at the IASC in hopes of gathering a list of skateshops. Included in the message… “We have a product (Bender Boarders) that could be very good for this industry. Our website is www.hogwildtoys.com” We just want to know who has better prison stories? Toys used to be cool.

This Just In?

“So what makes Tony Hawk so valuable?

Over the last 20 years, Hawk has invented over 80 tricks. The most famous is called a “900,” which involves two-and-a-half spins (two 360s and a 180). And he’s the only person in the world who has done it.”

Firetrucks Don’t Grind

“City officials also made it illegal to grind skateboards…” “Grinding, in which a skateboard is moved along the edge of a surface, now is illegal under an ordinance passed by the City Council.” “Violating the grinding ban is a misdemeanor and punishable by up to 90 days in jail and/or a fine of up to $500.” We are Outlaws.
