Up Trucks - Future? Primitive?

haveboard.com noticed we were moving the other day and suggested that we get all over up trucks. Because of our lack of a search engine on here you can’t tell if we’ve done a story on these or not. We have and here is our original post. Keepin’ tabs on the tab-keeper.

Hardcore Swedes

When you get down to your last few Euros, All you really need is pavement. Still need to do something about the police that seem to think we can’t manage some fuel efficient travel in the fast lane. We skate everywhere.

Hunsen Over The Bunsen Hawke?

Can’t help but take advantage of the little sux gifts that come our way when people really don’t know us. So skateboarding has come a long way. There are a lot of new things to think about. Carve your own line. The people that don’t ride skateboards will never know us. The people that do ride skateboards know all of us. Do any of you know Tony Hawke? Mr. Burt Reynold’s and Mr. Dolly Parton?

Made In Taiwan

“We are professional manufacturer of Skateboard and Longboard based in Taiwan, and develop and produce for several brands long and short boards. We glue, machine, and design Canadian maple 7 ply boards, and we produce at the present every month 20,000 boards for our distributors and American brands. We exclusively use Canadian hard maple, because we have not fount except Canadian maple wood which could present the same mechanical properties.”

We don’t want you to think that any one country has exclusive rights to manufacture every skateboard in the world. It is great to see other countries cutting up trees and making skateboards. We DO want you to think about who you are helping when you purchase that skateboard though. And we are not quite sure about this particular manufacturer. Buy skateboards from skateboarders.

We Are Done With Transworld

We haven’t even looked at Transworld Skateboarding Magazine since the Loreal Hair-Dye advertisement. We also haven’t even looked at their website since then either. John sent us some mail today and we’ll just go ahead and post his exact words because he wants some answers.

“this is just an idea for an article. i recently read the august 04 transworld and it was awful. a few years back the letter about the “arizona jeans” ad appearing in the magazine was a bad turn, but this issue, terrible. these are some pictures of the articles HERE and HERE not only were those articles in the magazine, but a “right guard” ad was in the magazine along with a virgin mobile ad, motivational speaker “richard smiley” ad, chicklets ad, urban pipeline ad, winterfresh ad, meguiars wax ad, “the perfect score” a film sponsored by mtv ad. what is up with all that? seems like transworld sold out. you guys can’t pass this article up.”

Thanks for doing the dirty work for us John. We wouldn’t have even seen them because we don’t pick it up for that exact reason. Kinda sure the motivational speaker thing is a joke… but that’s a lot of space a real skateboard company could have used. Let the little boys at TWS know that when you put an anti-drug ad in your magazine you can be damn sure the right people are going to kick your pussy asses out of the after-party.

Halfpipe Rollercoaster

America’s first Halfpipe coaster is now open in Colorado at Six Flags Elitch Gardens.

“Riders can spin countless 360s at heights of up to 10 stories high on a gigantic 39-foot-long board. Sixteen thrill-seeking riders sit safely in two circular cars that spin independently as the board carves its way up and down the tallest Halfpipe around. Each ride is unique, because weight distribution and gravity determine how the cars spin.”

We can only pray that the group of jocks that razzed you through high school will puke all over themselves while they throw the devil horns into the air. 10 story 900’s Yo!
