VF Corp Aquires Ass
VF Corp snags the Reef line of ass. Now that’s an aquisition! He who controls the ass wins. Doesn’t that make Trujillo, Cardiel, Greco and the Reef girls a team? What a team! Deluxe is even wiping off a spot for all the new ass TnT will snake. That section of hotel rooms will be on fire at any Skate lurk session. Be sure to schedule all your ASR Pre-Book sessions NOW. The Flaming Bag of Crap seemed to have this info first. Not as cool as the ass aquisition.

DC Takes You Back To 1996
Received an email from huphtur today…
So today DC launched their DC Films site. Which is a cool idea, except the execution is straight out of 1996.
A fullscreen popup? WHY? Why not keep the content in the viewport and let the user resize the browser.
And why the flash. WHY? None of the content on the site is presented in a way that it really needs flash. All of this could have been achieved with regular HTML+CSS with improved load time, usability, search results, etc etc.
None of the content can be bookmarked and/or linked to.
And why the heck are the movies in flash? Why not give the user the option to download the clips to their computer? That way repeat viewers don’t have to wait forever and can watch the clips over and over again. Not to think about the bandwidth it would save DC.
DC should launch their web department down Danny’s mega-ramp, cuz this site is an insult to the modern web user.

Tampa Pros
The Skatepark of Tampa threw a hell of a contest this year. And here is what we learned… Og De Souza has proved to everyone that Skateboarding is the greatest thing in the World. Dave Duncan really is a bad-ass. Zoo-York should take care of Jefferson Pang and Clyde Singleton for the rest of their lives. Jake and Micke are a Real Team. Chicks and Kids make the world go-round. We also figured out the genius behind the moat-race. Everyone needs new shoes… ?No shoes? get thrown in. Brilliant! Dennis Busenitz and Bastien Salabanzi are machines. Matt Milligan is THE beer-bong captain. All airplanes stink today.
So what Sux about what we just wrote? Here is a screenshot of the Transworld Site on Monday March 14, 2005. A day and several hours AFTER Duncan and Singleton have slept off 4 hangovers.

Do You Miss Big Brother?
It sure does suck that we don’t have Big Brother Magazine anymore. It sure would compliment The Skateboard Mag, Slap, and Thrasher while you’re on the can leaving a dook. We did seem to dig up some info on the interweb about the dudes that worked there. Wee-Man has been going strong. Looks like Rick Kosick is up to something and we know Dave Carnie will be doing things in the future too. They ain’t dead yet.
