Skateboarding Is A Crime
Nike Sux Again.
Pitchfork Media spoke to a representative from Dischord Records, Minor Threat’s label. Pitchfork asked Dischord Records if Nike had asked to borrow these images. They said the following: “No, they stole it and we’re not happy about it. Nike is a giant corporation which is attempting to manipulate the alternative skate culture to create an even wider demand for their already ubiquitous brand. Nike represents just about the antithesis of what Dischord stands for and it makes me sick to my stomach to think they are using this explicit imagery to fool kids into thinking that the general ethos of this label, and Minor Threat in particular, can somehow be linked to Nike’s mission. It’s disgusting.”
Look for a Minor Threat Response to this rip-off?

The Lakai Rumor Locker
While everyone is up in arms about Darrel Stanton leaving Real Skateboards for Plan B or The Sovereign Sect with the cat and a few appliances… We found some shit that is awful close to the same type of shit that led to the Soletech CSS breakup. Errr… Old breakup. Err… Lakai was found on Foot Locker and the Flaming Bag of Crap Insiders let us know about it. Now… Are these shoes for Foot Locker only? Inspired By Mall Rats? Fun Stuff is in store for the First day of Summer.
