Viceland on Extreme Marketing
Viceland has timelined the Extreme Marketing Phenomenon for recognizable cartoon characters used to market products.
The city of Philidelphia banned skateboarding from Love Park. This year there is going to be a Nightmares X-Treme Scream Park during the month of October (we’re guessing for halloween)… But the funny part is that the director/producer is trying to capitalize on the Love Park thing. They even went as far as contacting the Skateboard Advocacy Network and asking them to “hook them up with some skaters”. So yeah we get used and it takes some time to notice it.

Skateboarding Women - “The Alliance”
Sux is notorious for dogging the girls that ride Skateboards… Cuz we like to keep our women a few steps ahead of the other girls. Cara-Beth has a right to be upset at the prize money offered to the women at that Los Angeles event. If you were to give Cara-Beth her $2000 this year and $2000 for all the other medals she won in the past… She would still have less than $20,000 in prize money. Pierre Luc Gagnon got $50,000 for first in one of his events right?
Right Guard Deodorant’s advertising money wasn’t enough to give Skateboarding’s best women some dice throwing money?
$2000 won’t even cover Duncan and Elissa’s bar tabs on a Wednesday night. Where are all those millions of dollars going?
The figures simply don’t add up. If you outside corporations keep raping professional skateboarders. We will be forced to Thrash you. The official Sux boycott of all links to the x-games starts here. We encourage other Skateboarders to boycott.
We at Sux hope the executives behind this shit end up on the other side of Elissa’s fury at the bar later. It’s time the boys step up and respect “The Alliance“.

PUSHR wonders why the major sites aren’t updating their content quickly during the Los Angeles event. We’re pretty sure it’s because the major sites have Skateboarders build their sites. EXPN however… needs a web content slave to crop photos correctly and know what tricks are being done in those photos.

The National Extreme Sports League
“The NXL offers amateur action athletes a national league consisting of a ten-week fall and spring series culminating in the NXL Nationals. Youth and young adult athletes may compete in a number of age divisions progressing to their State and Regional finals. The spring 2006 series will be capped by the NXL Nationals, which will crown an amateur champion in each event.”

PUSHR Skateboard News
“So far, about 90 athletes in skateboarding, BMX stunt bike riding and freestyle motocross have joined what is known as the Pro Riders Organization, essentially an association, which was begun two years ago. The group’s agenda includes a wider distribution of prize money; revenue sharing with the television networks, who own the biggest events; group licensing agreements; greater input into how courses are designed because of concerns about safety and performance; and health insurance - which an estimated half of the athletes do not have.”
