The Lake Forest Zoo
How nice of the etnies skatepark of Lake Forest, CA to let us know what’s up. If mandatory full pads and beautiful steel bars caging you in weren’t enough, they just announced more fun stuff coming in 2007. Time to have a nice birthday party:
Birthday Party Packages - The Etnies Skatepark of Lake Forest is proud to offer three birthday party packages. Each package is designed to best suit each party’s needs. All Packages are for up to 10 participants. Each additional child will cost $20 up to a maximum of 20 participants. Each party will last for 2 hours. Party times availible [sic] are afternoons from 3pm-6pm or on weekends from 10am-6pm. Reservations are required at least one week in advance. A $100 security deposit is also required when making a reservation. Cancellation policy 72 hour advancced [sic] notice or loss of depsoit [sic].
Let’s see… Cute birthday parties, wednesday BMX nights, band nights with mandatory donations, 2007 waivers, photography policies, skate camps, snowboarding trips and unsolicited e-mail newsletters… Awesome. And on top of that, the good folks over at etnies have absolutely no control over the matter.

Nick is the man, for helping keep that park free! Anyone talking smack on him for the rules of the parks are lame. What a crock. Sounds like someone is sore for not being able to see some bands for free or something. Don’t skate there. go to vans and pay 30 bucks for a couple of hours. lame!!!

there was some guy crying about not being able to take photos of his friends. i guess the rules are that you can’t. you gotta be outside of the fence or something. I’m sure that’s Nicks fault too huh? Does he make the rules? I don’t think so. He skates more pools than all of these skatepark jocks that bitch about the rules. Got issues? go find a pool and do what you want. Blaming shit on a guy who works there is lame. Try the corporate headquarters. Fuck it, it’s free nyway. Is the park closed during birthday parties? That would be a suck deal, in my opinion. Otherwise, it would make no difference to me if some one wanted to pay to skate a free park on his birthday. Also, keeping photogs outside the bars sucks. The fewer rules, the better, if you ask me. This is skateboarding, not baseball.
