Burton Acquires DNA Distribution
DAYTON, Ohio, Feb. 5 /PRNewswire/ — DNA Distribution, which includes skateboarding brands Alien Workshop, Habitat and Reflex, today announced that the company has been acquired by Burton.
DNA Distribution will continue to operate in Dayton, Ohio and CEO and Co-Founder Chris Carter will continue to oversee the DNA brands, which include Alien Workshop, Habitat and Reflex Bearings.

It’s Definitely Not a Consolidated Shoe
Funny how certain people will take advantage of a situation. What started off as our artist doing a favor for his home town shop, has ended up being twisted and turned into something it wasn’t. Some people at a large sporting goods company are trying really hard to ride the association between themselves and Consolidated. It’s bad enough when they feel that they don’t need to pay for the association, but hell….they didn’t even ask! What they didn’t realize is that not everybody can be bought…much less stolen! Well……now it’s time to pay.
We experienced firsthand what sporting goods companies will do to get ahead in the game, but what they didn’t realize is that some people just won’t lay down and play dead….
It’s time again to wake up and come out fighting!

Olympic Slalom Skateboarding

It’s fun to imagine cleaning your system out and figuring out how to operate one of those slalom contraptions. You too could be an Olympic Skateboarder. Wow!
We’re going to go out on a limb and say that Olympic Slalom Skateboarding is about as far as it should go. Is being on the Safety Committee (PDF) of the International Association of Skateboard Companies (IASC) enough pull to keep everything else from going in to the Olympics?
